March marks the season for cherry blossom viewing. At the Dabagan Forest Hot Spring Resort in Sanxia, large patches of cherry blossoms have gradually come into bloom. The park is home to brilliant Taiwan cherry blossoms, soft and graceful Somei Yoshino cherries, and ethereal Showa cherries. Strolling through the area, you can immerse yourself in a rich cherry blossom atmosphere. This cherry blossom season will continue until the end of March.

In addition to the vast cherry blossom trees, the park boasts precious mid-to-low altitude native tropical rainforests. The rainforest is filled with large buttress roots and a rich diversity of insects and plants, making it a great spot for viewing and research. Moreover, thanks to the presence of sodium bicarbonate hot spring veins, the Dabagan Forest Hot Spring Resort also offers a premium hot spring soaking environment.

In March, azaleas bloom alongside Somei Yoshino and Showa cherries; in April, the air is filled with the subtle fragrance of jasmine, while shell ginger also blooms during this month along with some late-blooming Showa cherries. By May, the season of falling tung blossom rains arrives, along with the pink flowers of the melastoma, whose tender leaves were traditionally picked by indigenous peoples as a salt substitute. Each month offers different flowers to enjoy.

From now until May 31, 2012, the "Blossom Whisper Stay Package" is available. For weekdays, when two people travel together, each person can enjoy the package (including breakfast and dinner) for just NT$2400 + 10%. The package includes: one night’s stay in a deluxe double room, two servings of an energizing breakfast, free entry to enjoy the rainforest’s phytoncides, access to an open-air spa, and one set of the 1918 Hot Spring Spirit Face Mask (not applicable for groups). During this period, special twice-daily ecological tours of the park have been added, where professional guides will lead visitors to admire the flowers and wander amidst the language of blossoms.
