The India-Taipei Association announces: Starting March 26, 2012, all types of visas will only accept visa application forms that are filled out and printed online. Handwritten visa forms submitted by applicants will no longer be accepted.
Those who wish to apply for a visa may go to the official website of the India-Taipei Association and follow the Chinese translation instructions for the online visa application guide and application process steps to fill out the Indian visa application form (to be filled in English only). After completing the form, print it out — only then is the online application process considered complete. The above steps must be completed before midnight (24:00) on the day before the application date (except for same-day applications).
The visa acceptance window is open on weekdays from 9:30 to 12:00; pick-up is available the next day from 3:30 to 5:15 pm. To pick up the same afternoon, an additional handling fee of NT$500 applies, while picking up the same morning requires an additional NT$800. The visa’s validity period is calculated from the day the visa application is successfully processed, not from the entry date. For example: if the application is successful on January 1, 2012, the visa is valid from January 1, 2012 to June 30, 2012.

Additionally, travelers applying for a multiple-entry tourist visa are reminded that there must be more than two months between departures and reentries during the visa’s validity period. Those planning to visit nearby countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka within two months after entering India using a multiple-entry tourist visa, and then reenter India again, must inform the counter when applying and provide supporting documents (such as flight tickets, hotel reservations, or personal itinerary) to apply for a two- or three-entry tourist visa.
