In April, Jintai Mountain in Taimali Township, Taitung County, welcomes the late spring and early summer season with lilies blanketing the hillsides. Wild native lilies burst into bloom across farm golden needle fields, homestay gardens, and pristine forests, while fireflies light up the night, creating an incredibly romantic pastoral scene.

Located in eastern Taiwan, Taimali gained fame for the millennium sunrise and has since become a go-to spot for witnessing the first light of the new year. By late spring in April and May, the Jintai Mountain area, at the border between Taimali and Jinfeng townships, sees Taiwan’s native wild lilies unfurl their distinctive white, trumpet-shaped blooms all over the hills. The pure white lilies slowly emerge and blossom amid the emerald-green mountains, radiating an otherworldly elegance. Additionally, each afternoon, warm, moist air forms mountain mists that gently drift up the slopes, crafting a serene scene that washes away worries. At night, countless fireflies dance across the sky, adding a magical touch to the tranquil evening.
