The Taichung International Travel Expo is set to open this Friday (the 20th), with the Hong Kong Pavilion offering a 3-day Hong Kong trip including tax for under NT$10,000, allowing you to leave early and return late to enjoy a full three days. In celebration of Mother’s Day, the Hong Kong Pavilion has added special perks to pamper moms — any traveler with a mother among the group can join the “Hong Kong Gift Double Draw.” The first prize is a top-tier upgrade experience worth NT$40,000, and the second is a Hong Kong-themed attraction lucky bag, with the total value exceeding NT$500,000.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, the Hong Kong Pavilion is offering three grand prize packages, including an upgrade to business class and an additional night’s stay at the world’s highest hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong; or an additional night in a harbor-view suite at five-star Kowloon Harbour Grand Hotel, a spa massage, and a buffet dinner at the world’s highest hotel restaurant; or a repeat trip to Hong Kong with mom (in addition to the originally purchased itinerary), including two flight tickets, accommodation at The Mira Hong Kong, and breakfast. Additionally, seven major Hong Kong theme attractions have specially sponsored the Hong Kong Pavilion, providing 500 free lucky bags. Currently, Hong Kong Express, which operates two daily direct flights from Taichung to Hong Kong, highlights five-star hotels in its offerings, such as the conveniently located five-star Hyatt or Sheraton hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, with 3-day trips including tax starting from NT$13,999; star-favorite W Hotel or the InterContinental Hotel with breathtaking sea views also start from just NT$16,999; for those wanting to experience top-tier luxury, Hong Kong Airlines has also packaged the world’s highest hotel — The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong — starting from NT$19,999 including tax, plus two daily breakfasts and a welcome chocolate box.
Starting May 14, Dragonair, which will also operate two daily direct flights from Taichung to Hong Kong, is offering early-bird deals at the expo, including a 3-day group tour that covers Hong Kong Disneyland, allowing you to visit major attractions such as Victoria Peak, Avenue of Stars, 1881 Heritage, and the Hong Kong Museum of History in one go, along with experiences like riding the iconic tram, tasting milk tea at the birthplace of the famous Lan Fong Yuen, and visiting the egg tart shop Tai Cheong Bakery.
