Besides escaping the heat in the mountains or cooling off at the beach this summer, the “IceFUN World” ice sculpture exhibition is being held at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel from now until September 16th, daily from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. The exhibition features works carved from nearly 10,000 blocks of ice by 50 ice sculptors, allowing visitors to explore the 18,000-square-meter venue while enjoying an extreme summer chill of -8°C. Tickets are priced at MOP 100 (approximately TWD 390) per person.

Asia’s largest ice sculpture exhibition – IceFUN World – is back this year at Hall F of the Galaxy Macau Expo in The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel. The exhibition is divided into 10 themed zones, including Macau-themed areas such as the “Macau Grand Prix,” “Pandas,” and “Macau UNESCO World Heritage Sites,” as well as attractions themed around iconic landmarks like “Asian Landscapes.” There are also kid-favorite zones such as the “Twin Dragon Slide,” “Fairy Tale Forest,” and “Tetris Maze.”

Additionally, the Macao Science Center is currently hosting the animated film “Night on the Galactic Railroad” and a special exhibition titled “One Leaf Knows Autumn – Macao’s Vintage Meteorological Instruments.” “Night on the Galactic Railroad” is an animated film based on the classic children’s novel by Kenji Miyazawa, illustrated by Japanese digital art master Katsuhiro Otomo. It takes audiences on a journey through fields and villages aboard a train through the galaxy, admiring the starry sky above while integrating astronomy knowledge and constellation myths – making it a great activity for families. Meanwhile, the vintage meteorological instruments exhibition displays over 20 sets of early weather measurement devices provided by the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, offering a fascinating opportunity for both kids and adults interested in atmospheric science.
