People who aspire to become professional pilots or flight attendants don’t have to wait until graduation or a career change to make their dreams come true. China Airlines will hold six sessions each of its Flight Attendant, Pilot, and Flight Experience Camps this summer during July and August, targeting individuals aged 18 to 28. Each session will last three days and two nights. The courses will be taught by professional flight attendant instructors and qualified China Airlines pilots currently on duty. Participants will stay at the five-star Novotel Taoyuan China Airlines, and those in the Pilot and Flight Experience Camps will even get to operate a simulator worth tens of millions of dollars with a thrust of 135,000 pounds. Each session of the Flight Attendant Experience Camp accommodates 24 participants. The course includes topics such as poise and etiquette, image building, and interview skills. Through role-playing as flight attendants, participants can accumulate experience and gain an in-depth understanding of how flight attendants are trained and the professionalism required. Each session of the Pilot and Flight Experience Camp has eight participants. Through ground academic lessons, basic flight training, and professional skill courses, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of a pilot’s career and learn the qualifications needed to become a certified pilot.
All three camps—Flight Attendant, Pilot, and Flight Experience—will arrange for participants to visit the China Airlines campus, the China Airlines Maintenance Factory, and China Pacific Catering Services, giving them a glimpse into the preparation work and safety standards behind every flight. Throughout the program, participants will stay at the five-star Novotel Taoyuan China Airlines. In addition to learning dining etiquette and wine pairing during dinner, they can also enjoy a unique view of planes taking off and landing on the runways on both sides of Taoyuan Airport.
