A year-long renovation completed: Yilan’s Qilan and Mingchi Mountain Resorts embrace European style & begin summer trial operation

Covering an area of over 2,500 hectares, the Makau Ecological Park has undergone a year of renovation, giving its Qilan Mountain Resort and Mingchi Mountain Resort accommodations a major makeover. The project is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of June. The old facilities have been replaced with new ones, redesigned in a cozy and minimalist style to offer visitors a brand-new experience.

The Makau Ecological Park consists of the Qilan Forest Recreation Area, Mingchi Forest Recreation Area, and the Sacred Tree Area. Qilan boasts naturally stunning landscapes, while Mingchi features rich forest scenery and diverse ecosystems around the lake. The park also houses Taiwan’s largest sacred cypress grove, with nearly a hundred thousand-year-old red cypresses and Taiwan incense cedars standing throughout the area. The diverse natural beauty always leaves visitors enchanted.

To create unforgettable travel memories for visitors, Lili Tourism, after taking over operations, spent a year renovating the rooms and restaurants of both Qilan Mountain Resort and Mingchi Mountain Resort. The project is set to be officially completed by the end of June and will begin a trial run during the summer vacation. Currently, “Qilan Mountain Resort” offers three distinctive room types: European-style mountain villas, forest cottages, and panoramic rooms. “Mingchi Mountain Resort” retains various styles including European-style mountain villas and forest cottages, with room types ranging from doubles to eight-person rooms to cater to a wide range of travelers.
