This year’s Dragon Boat Festival holiday coincides with Railway Day, and Taiwan Railways has planned an especially unique cruise-style island-looping train that allows travelers to enjoy a wonderful rail journey during the break. Tickets go on sale at 9:00 AM on March 11th. Railway enthusiasts and travelers shouldn’t miss out on this rare and memorable railway experience.

Taiwan Railways hopes to take everyone to Yilan to push a train and ride the ageless speed king “CT273,” where a steam locomotive will whisk you along while you take in the beauty of the East Rift Valley. You can also enjoy the rare spectacle of a “steam locomotive changeover” show.

This year’s 2019 Lantern Festival is being held at the Dapeng Bay Leisure Area in Pingtung, and the itinerary also includes plans to let travelers experience water-based leisure activities. The three-day trip lets everyone explore all of Taiwan.
