Lee Chi-Hung, Director of the Urban and Rural Development Division of Pingtung County Government, said that in the past, traveling from Kaohsiung to Kenting by public transport took about three hours. The Kenting Express not only takes a faster expressway route but also reduces the number of stops, making the trip from Zuoying to Kenting just 120 minutes. To celebrate Father’s Day, anyone who lines up to draw a number at the Lion Travel counter in front of Taipei Railway Station between 7:00 and 8:00 PM on the evening of August 8 will have a chance to be one of eight lucky winners drawn at 8:08 PM to travel round-trip between Taipei and Kenting for just NT$88！

To promote low-carbon tourism and meet the public's demand for in-depth travel to Kenting, Pingtung County Government has planned the “High-Speed Rail – Kenting Express Combo Ticket” this year at a special price of NT$2,880, which is even more cost-effective than buying a round-trip high-speed rail ticket from Taipei to Zuoying for NT$2,980. The combo ticket can be purchased via iBon. Additionally, it comes with a travel guide booklet that not only introduces Kenting attractions but also includes food, accommodation, shopping, entertainment, and a total of 40 discounted shops in Kenting, with vouchers worth nearly NT$5,000 in total value. This year, the Kenting Express has also partnered with the first travel micro-series “Single Girl Shoots Around,” presenting the beauty of Kenting through a self-guided, selfie-friendly style that appeals to younger audiences. Passengers on the Kenting Express shuttle bus can enjoy the show during their ride.
