The Taipei International Tourism Expo kicked off on May 20 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. In addition to popular international travel deals, domestic travel packages are also attracting significant attention from the public. Eastern Ocean Hot Spring and Eastern Mountain Forest Resort are both offering exciting mountain and sea leisure packages — four people can stay for just NT$8,980, which includes breakfast and a whale watching tour.

Eastern Ocean Hot Spring Hotel is offering a special Northeast Coast Blue Sea Whale Watching package this summer. For weekdays, the price is NT$8,980 for four people per night or NT$5,980 for two people, which includes breakfast as well as a free ticket for either a whale watching trip or a cruise around Guishan Island.

Travelers who wish to fully enjoy the services of Eastern Ocean Hot Spring Hotel can also opt for a two-day-one-night weekday package: NT$9,980 for four people or NT$6,980 for two, which includes breakfast and dinner, plus a complimentary 20-minute foot and body relaxation session at Huaqing Pool. Additionally, the hotel hosts a Japanese Festival Street event with daily yukata try-ons and seasonal activities such as soba noodle making and watermelon cracking.

For those looking to go surfing at Wushi Port, the expo also offers a Wushi Port Surfing Experience Camp. The package is NT$19,999 for two people for a three-day-two-night stay, with a buy-two-get-two-free deal — meaning the price stays the same even when more people join, so each person pays less than NT$5,000. The package includes a stay in a sea-view room, two days of buffet breakfast, one dinner, a two-hour surfing lesson at Wushi Port, shuttle bus service, and professional coaching. Register before June 15 to get an additional NT$1,500 discount.

This season, Eastern Mountain Forest Resort focuses on family travel and encourages guests to bring their pets. It also recommends having a picnic in the ecological area. Currently, the rate is NT$3,980 for two people including one night’s stay and two meals, or NT$6,480 for a family of four. Both options include breakfast and dinner and come with a free entry ticket to the Golden SPA Club (Floors 1–4). Choosing a pet-friendly room requires an additional NT$800.

Meal vouchers are also a highlight at Eastern Mountain Forest Resort. The most popular option is the gourmet all-you-can-eat buffet dinner voucher at NT$750 per person, which includes access to the buffet dinner and a free entry ticket to the Golden SPA Club (Floors 1–4). For those seeking relaxation, there is also a wellness and massage option — the gourmet body relaxation voucher for two people costs NT$1,899, which includes dinner, entry to the Golden SPA Club (Floors 1–4), and two free 20-minute foot massage vouchers.
