This year, the Northern Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration has specially organized an online event to find hidden scenic spots in the Northern Coast and Guanyinshan areas, inviting the public to become "scenic spot star explorers," jointly discovering and sharing picturesque, simple, happiness-filled, and uniquely attractive hidden spots. The submission period runs from now until November 10, 2012.

The main goal of the event is to encourage travel "star explorers" to search within the North Scenic Area—including five major regions: Sanzhi District, Shimen District, Jinshan District, Wanli District, and Guanyinshan—for those extraordinary scenes hidden in the ordinary, and the sense of happiness found in simplicity, to share with more people for them to experience and feel, re-presenting the emotional appeal of travel in the Northern Coast and Guanyinshan.

Participants who rank in the top 20 of the first phase of the submission event by uploading and having their hidden scenic spots approved will receive the Early Bird Award: a set of Ah Yuan handmade soaps. All netizens who participate by submitting hidden scenic spots can join a computerized random draw, which includes a lottery prize of one iPad, a Joy Sharing Award of tickets to the Chu-Wei Art Museum, and more. The event will have a review panel established by the North Scenic Area Administration, selecting the top 10 best hidden scenic spots of the Northern Coast, with 10 winners in total receiving convenience store gift vouchers and tickets to the Yehliu Ocean World.
