Although the outbound travel market during this year’s summer vacation did not meet expectations, the cool and pleasant autumn weather is an ideal time for travel. The Consumer Protection Association has released information on group tour price fluctuations from October to December, showing that prices have generally decreased slightly compared to the summer period, with the most significant drops seen in Canada and the UK. Canada saw price reductions of about 10,000 to 15,000 NTD, while the UK, having just wrapped up the Olympics, saw reductions of approximately 5,000 to 15,000 NTD. Nowadays, London offers a wealth of architecture and street public art, and with the Harry Potter film studio having opened this year, it's also a great choice for autumn travel.

Autumn in Japan and South Korea is the prime season for maple leaf viewing. Although autumn airfares have dropped, the maple leaf season has led to increased hotel prices in October, resulting in only a slight overall drop in group tour prices from July to September, by about 1,000 to 3,000 NTD. Southeast Asia has entered the low travel season, with group tour prices showing little difference from the previous quarter, around 500 to 2,000 NTD. Mainland China travel prices fluctuate slightly by month, and the recent earthquake in Yunnan has had no impact on itineraries in Kunming, Lijiang, and Dali. Additionally, with the October National Day holiday in mainland China and the arrival of the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival in December, group tour prices for these two months are slightly higher.

Group tour prices for the US and Canada routes have decreased compared to last year’s same quarter, thanks to lower airfares, hotel rates, and transportation costs, making them over 10,000 NTD cheaper than the summer season. For those planning to travel abroad for a vacation at the end of the year, some operators have put together themed travel packages around American holidays, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. Meanwhile, eastern Canada from late September to mid-October is also the best season for maple leaf viewing. New Zealand and Australia are entering spring, with upcoming itineraries focusing mainly on flower viewing, and prices have risen slightly by about 2,000 NTD. Among these, China Airlines has added new flights extending from Sydney to Auckland, with daily flights via Brisbane or Sydney to Auckland, providing great convenience for travelers heading to Australia or New Zealand.
In addition, Vietnam has developed many new attractions and hotels, offering travelers more diverse options; Myanmar has reopened its doors to tourism reforms, becoming a key destination promoted by travel agencies in the Indochina region. Due to increases in airfares, taxes, and hotel prices, group tour prices have risen by about 1,000 to 3,000 NTD compared to the previous quarter.
