AirAsia X, the long-haul subsidiary of AirAsia, is not only the world’s first low-cost, long-haul airline to offer fully flatbed premium business seats, but also launched a promotion running until October 28. Passengers departing before December 15 can fly from Taiwan to Kuala Lumpur or connect via Kuala Lumpur to various destinations in Australia in AirAsia X’s premium business class for as little as NT$8,490 one-way including taxes and fees. For those flying from Kuala Lumpur to various cities in China between November 1 and January 31, 2013, the promotional fare for premium business class is as low as NT$7,990 one-way including taxes and fees.

The AirAsia X premium business class features standard business class specifications, with seats approximately 50.8 cm wide and 152.4 cm high, and a fully flatbed that extends about 195.5 cm forward. The seat includes universal power outlets, an adjustable headrest, and built-in amenities such as a tray table, cup holder, reading light, and personal TV screen. In addition, passengers who choose the premium business class can enjoy complimentary seat selection, 25 kg checked baggage allowance, complimentary in-flight meals, personal pillow and blanket, priority check-in and boarding, and luggage collection, as well as no change fees.
Additionally, passengers on selected FLY-THRU connecting routes—including flights to and from Australia and destinations such as Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and China—can also opt for the premium business class FLY-THRU service. This allows travelers to enjoy luxurious flatbed seats throughout their journey, with a single booking process for both flight segments, quick transfers, and through-checked baggage to the final destination.
