Last year’s Taipei International Travel Fair drew 250,000 visitors in just four days, and this year’s event is set to take place at the World Trade Center Halls 1 and 3 from October 26 to 29. With the upcoming implementation of visa-free travel to the U.S. in November this year, many travel agencies are capitalizing on the trend by launching U.S. tour packages. Some agencies are even offering exceptionally low prices, such as a 9-day Western U.S. tour for just NT$39,900. Popular Asian destinations like Hong Kong and South Korea also feature numerous travel packages under NT$10,000, all aiming to attract travelers' spending.

This year, with the imminent launch of visa-free travel to the U.S., travel agencies anticipate increased demand for U.S. tours and have introduced various promotional offers. Aside from Five Star Travel’s Western U.S. 10-day tour starting at NT$66,900, and Southeast Travel’s New York 8-day tour starting at NT$67,900 (taxes included) with a waiver of the US$14 (approximately NT$412) ESTA fee, Lion Travel is even offering an ultra-low price of just NT$39,900 for a 9-day Western U.S. tour.

Additionally, for popular Northeast Asian destinations like Japan and South Korea, which are favorites among Taiwanese travelers, Hi-Hong Travel is offering a lucky draw promotion on a 5-day Korea tour starting at NT$9,900. Lion Travel’s 4-day package including Everland and N Seoul Tower is available on-site for just NT$7,800. For Tokyo, which has been in the spotlight due to the Tokyo Skytree, EVA Air’s 5-day Tokyo free independent travel package starts at NT$14,900. In Southeast Asia, China Airlines is offering a Hong Kong visa-free special, with 2-day/1-night and 3-day/2-night packages starting at NT$5,288 and NT$6,088 respectively. TransAsia Airways is highlighting its 9 major routes with 3-day/2-night free independent travel packages all under NT$10,000, including Macau Go Anywhere for just NT$8,800.
