Shei-Pa National Park Administration and the Chinese Green Lifestyle Leisure Development Association will jointly launch the “Shei-Yue Erben Song, Maruta Battery, and Xiangbi Tribe Tour” eco-travel program themed “May All Your Persimmons Be Sweet” during the peak harvest season of sweet persimmons on October 27 & 28 and November 10 & 11. The program will take participants to the Shei-Yue Recreation Area in Shei-Pa National Park to visit the Erben Song Interpretation Station at the former Japanese-era “Erben Song Outpost,” the battery ruins, and the Maruta Battery Cultural History Memorial Hall to view battery historical materials, the barrier guard line system from the Japanese colonial period, and Atayal cultural artifacts. Visitors will also explore the Xiangbi Tribe, Xiangbi Ancient Trail, and Xiangbi Suspension Bridge to learn about the traditional cultural features of the Atayal and Saisiyat peoples, and enjoy locally grown sweet and juicy persimmons. The cost is NT$4,100 per person.

In addition, Shei-Pa National Park Administration and the Chinese Green Lifestyle Leisure Development Association will also jointly host an ecological tour for maple leaf viewing in Wuling on November 25 & 26 and November 30 to December 1. Participants can admire how the lush forests of the Wuling area gradually transform with various red-leaf plants, donning hues of golden yellow or crimson red. The scenery of Wuling is delightful in all four seasons, with murmuring streams that embody the natural essence of forests and rivers. It is also world-renowned for the critically endangered Formosan landlocked salmon found in the Qijiawan Creek, often hailed as a paradise on earth. There's even a saying that "the scenery of Lishan surpasses that of Taiwan, while the scenery of Wuling surpasses that of Lishan." This maple appreciation and ecological tour will visit the Nanshan Tribe, a high-altitude vegetable farming area, the Taoshan Trail, and the Yansheng Waterfall, among other sites. Participants will also head to Qijiawan Creek to admire the turning red maples, enjoy interpretive tours along the creek about the habitat of the Formosan landlocked salmon, and visit the Formosan Landlocked Salmon Ecology Center.
