The Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) will kick off tomorrow (the 26th). Entry will open to the public after 12:00 noon and run until 19:00 on the 29th. This year, 60 countries and 850 travel organizations will simultaneously exhibit over 1,000 booths at the World Trade Center’s Halls 1 and 3. Over the four days of the fair, the organizers will give away two Yulon Cubi cars, 28 flight tickets, and 8,000 lucky bags—the most generous prize lineup in the event’s history. Businesses are riding the wave of Hong Kong visa-free access and the U.S. visa waiver, plus the Japanese Pavilion has set a record with 106 booths. With prices slashed on flights and travel packages from Christmas to New Year’s and Lunar New Year, travelers looking to go abroad can score plenty of early-bird deals at this year’s fair.

Promotional offers from airlines include China Airlines’ “Hong Kong Visa-Free Special” with a 3-day, 2-night Hong Kong trip starting from NT$6,088, and a 3-day Hong Kong Disneyland Hollywood package from NT$7,999 (before tax), including an open-top double-decker night tour and an all-day MTR pass. Japan Airlines is offering an early-bird economy class Taiwan–U.S. route special starting from NT$18,500, a 5-day, 3-night Hawaii free and easy trip from NT$27,900, an ultra-discounted 2-day, 1-night Tokyo flight-plus-hotel free and easy deal from NT$8,788, and a 3-day, 2-night Yokohama free and easy trip starting from just NT$11,688. EVA Air’s fun-filled 5-day Guam tour is available at a limited promotional price of just NT$17,888. TransAsia Airways is offering round-trip flights between Taipei and Naha, Okinawa starting from NT$4,888, and special deal round-trip flights to Osaka from NT$7,888. Korean Air’s Jin Air also has limited-time offers on round-trip Taipei Songshan / Seoul Gimpo flights for just NT$1,000.
On long-haul routes, ezfly (EasyFly) has a limited daily offer of the first 15 people for a 10-day Czech group tour at a flat rate starting from NT$49,900; Canaan Travel’s 11-day in-depth tour of Spain’s royal palaces, architecture, leisure, food, and culture is priced from NT$40,920 during the travel fair, with a second person traveling together receiving a NT$6,000 discount, plus an additional NT$5,000 per person discount on-site; Cola Travel’s “New Year Golden Seats” offer lets you grab early-bird deals with savings of up to NT$3,000; the Holland America Line’s Alaska “Glacier Bay National Park” 11-day itinerary at the U.S. Pavilion is available on-site at ITF for NT$119,900; Five Star Tours’ Paris Secrets 10-day tour starts from NT$69,900, with a NT$6,000 discount for the second traveler. Canaan Travel’s spectacular France–Belgium–Netherlands three-capital double-stay cruise 10-day tour is originally priced from NT$64,900, with a NT$10,000 discount for the second person, averaging under NT$50,000 per person including tax. Lion Travel’s Western U.S. Adventure 9-day trip starts from NT$51,900, and the “Go Lins Go New York” 8-day tour starts from NT$81,900; Southeast Travel’s France–Germany–Austria 11-day tour is available at a special price from NT$69,900 including tax, saving NT$10,000.

The Travel Fair at World Trade Center Hall 3 gathers over 200 hotels, hot springs, motels, homestays, and farms from across Taiwan. Five-star hotel accommodation vouchers are seeing across-the-board discounts, with the Kaohsiung Regent’s WANG JIAO Suite voucher going for as low as NT$3,999, about a 1.8-fold discount; Taipei Caesar Park’s newly launched refined room type is available at a 2.3-fold discount, just NT$2,999 on weekdays and NT$3,399 on holidays, with only 150 rooms available; Kaohsiung Grand Hotel’s weekday city-view room voucher includes a complimentary upgrade to a lake-view room, with each room coming with two premium cream puffs from the hotel, at a promotional price of NT$2,000—originally NT$7,150, about a 2.7-fold discount.
Hotel afternoon tea starts from NT$200. Taipei Fuhang’s joint meal voucher is NT$799 for four servings of afternoon tea; Taipei Ambassador’s Ming Yuan Western Restaurant offers a weekday/holiday afternoon tea set voucher at NT$480 per person, ten vouchers for NT$4,800—originally NT$6,050, a 21% discount; Taipei Sheraton’s Twelve Kitchen weekday afternoon tea double voucher is NT$999—originally NT$1,298, a 23% discount. Victoria Hotel, making its first appearance, is offering a Michelin-rated Italian afternoon tea set for just NT$500 per voucher—a 34% discount—and comes with a free juice voucher. The newly opened Okura Prestige Taipei is also launching its European-style Hall buffet afternoon tea vouchers: four vouchers for NT$2,600—originally NT$3,432, about a 24% discount.
Lunch and dinner buffet R-tier options start from NT$00. Taipei Garden’s Six Countries Restaurant offers a holiday lunch and dinner buffet R-ticket that comes with five extra vouchers for NT$4,495; Round Mountain Songhe Hall’s self-service lunch/dinner double voucher is a great value at NT$1,100, with only 100 available daily; The Lai Lai Hotel Group’s VIP dining voucher is NT$1,400 per ticket, allowing you to choose between Taipei or Hsinchu Lai Lai Le Café weekday/holiday buffet lunch or dinner for two, or Jiouxi Lai Lai’s Yun Tian buffet lunch for two; Taipei Far Eastern Plaza Hotel’s Café buffet voucher is NT$670 per person for weekday lunch or dinner, a 32% discount, with ten vouchers for NT$6,700, and only 150 sets available daily.
