The annual autumn and winter event in the North Coast — “Jinshan Wanli Bali Hot Spring Food Carnival” — has begun. From now until November 30, the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration is launching the “Soak Well in the North Coast, Get a Travel Pass” promotion. As long as you take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle — Crown North Coast Line or any bus that passes through the North Coast during the campaign period, and make purchases at participating hot spring food merchants such as accommodation, soaking, dining, or shopping totaling NT$999 or more, you can exchange your receipt and bus ticket for one set of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle — Crown North Coast Line 199 NTD pass. Each set includes one Taiwan Tourist Shuttle ticket, one one-way train ticket from Banqiao to Keelung, and one Liu Family Zongzi combo voucher. Limited to 1,000 sets.

The North Coast is the only hot spring area in the country that features submarine hot springs, sodium bicarbonate springs, sulfur springs, and iron springs. To establish a brand image for North Coast hot spring tourism, the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration selected this year a hot spring tourism logo inspired by the iconic Queen’s Head rock formation. Additionally, to promote low-carbon travel, the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration has introduced this year the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle — Crown North Coast Line, running between Tamsui and Keelung. For just 100 NTD, you can get on and off unlimited times within the day and visit 12 attractions with one ticket. During the campaign period (October 23 – November 30), an additional “Jiatouli Hot Spring Area Temporary Stop” has been added to serve travelers. The Crown North Coast Line operates once per hour on weekdays and every half hour on weekends.
