A Taiwan tour group traveling in Switzerland was involved in a serious traffic accident early on the 21st when their bus collided with a high-speed train at a level crossing. The Tourism Bureau stated that the group consisted of 33 passengers and one Taiwanese tour leader, with 8 people injured and sent to hospital. Among them, 3 are in serious condition and require hospital observation, but none are in life-threatening condition.

A Taiwan tour group of 33 tourists, organized by Giant Dragon Travel Agency, was traveling in Switzerland. Around 7:00 p.m. local time on the 20th (1:00 a.m. on the 21st in Taiwan time), the bus the group was riding in collided with a train. It is understood that the bus driver attempted to cross the level crossing, and although the train applied emergency braking, it was too late to avoid the collision.

The accident resulted in 8 people being sent to hospital, with 3 in serious condition requiring hospital observation, though there were no life-threatening injuries. The other injured have been discharged. The group is scheduled to return to Taiwan on the 31st, and some family members have yet to be contacted.
