Statistics from mainland operators show that Shanghai Disneyland is not as expensive as imagined. Based on data from both group and independent travelers, the average cost per person at Shanghai Disneyland is NT$11,400. Industry insiders say that compared to nearby Hong Kong and Tokyo Disneylands, the price is not considered high. The majority of visitors are families with children, accounting for over 50%, followed by couples at over 30%, with the rest mostly groups of friends.
According to reports from Shanghai Morning Post, Ctrip Travel, which officially partners with Shanghai Disneyland, has compiled statistics showing that based on current group and independent travel data from major mainland cities to Shanghai Disneyland, the average cost per person is NT$11,400.
For example, a three-day trip for two people from Beijing to Shanghai costs approximately RMB 1,200 per person for round-trip airfare, RMB 499 per person for tickets, and about RMB 600 per night for a four-star hotel, totaling around RMB 2,300 per person, which is roughly over NT$11,400.
The report also shows that among more than 50 cities in mainland China, the top four cities where residents are most enthusiastic about booking Disneyland-related trips are Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
