This year’s Hong Kong WinterFest runs from November 23 to January 1, 2013, bringing a romantic and festive atmosphere. In addition to dazzling Christmas lights and a joyful holiday ambiance, December also marks the start of major sales across Hong Kong’s shopping malls and special dining promotions. Currently, travelers departing between Sunday and Thursday can enjoy a magical Hong Kong Christmas experience for under HK$10,000 (taxes included), while weekend departures only require an additional HK$1,000. Hong Kong Countdown 2013” event along Victoria Harbour will climax the WinterFest celebrations with an 8-minute spectacular fireworks display.
