Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa will officially open on December 7, 2012, with a series of celebratory events held over that weekend, and its second major attraction—Marine Life Park—will also make its debut. The Marine Life Park holds over 60 million liters of water and is home to more than 100,000 marine animals from over 800 species, making it the world’s largest aquarium.

This world’s largest marine aquarium will consist of two ticketed attractions—one offering a wet experience and the other a dry one. Adventure Cove Waterpark will become the region’s only water park infused with marine life elements, where visitors can enjoy splashing fun; while S.E.A. Aquarium is the world’s largest aquarium, housing 100,000 marine creatures, including animal stars such as hammerhead sharks.
At Adventure Cove Waterpark, thrill-seekers can ride the Riptide Rocket—the first magnetic roller coaster slide in Southeast Asia that defies gravity with an upward surge—and get soaked in the fun, or enjoy snorkeling at Rainbow Reef. Next year, the park will also introduce immersive experiences and exciting interactions with Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins. Meanwhile, visitors can explore the marine life and habitats of Southeast Asia, the African subcontinent, and beyond at S.E.A. Aquarium, which also features the world’s largest aquarium viewing panel.
Dennis Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Attractions at Resorts World Sentosa, noted that as the world’s largest marine ecology classroom, the park will not only engage in international research and conservation programs but will also launch educational initiatives for students from preschool to university level.
