Jointly organized by the Tainan City Government and the Tainan City Travel Association, the "Greater Tainan International Travel Fair" — the first and largest of its kind in Tainan’s history — officially kicked off today (the 7th) and will continue through December 10 at the Nanzih World Trade Center. This edition of the travel fair features exhibitors from 12 countries and 28 cities, with a total of 84 participating organizations.

The organizing Tainan City Government has set up a "Tainan Tourism Image Pavilion" at the fair, collaborating with five national-level agencies including the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Administration, Siraya National Scenic Area Administration, Taijiang National Park, National Museum of Taiwan History, and National Museum of Taiwan Literature. Through six major themes — "Cultural Tainan," "Literary Tainan," "Historical Tainan," "Industrial Tainan," "Religious Tainan," and "Tourism Tainan" — the pavilion showcases the diversity of Tainan’s tourism resources. A representation of Taiwan’s iconic imagery made from the Seven-Colored Salt Mountains of Sihcao and an orchid marking Tainan’s location at the entrance attract considerable attention, drawing many visitors to take photos. The Tainan City Travel Association has also established a special zone during the exhibition period, offering great-value tour packages including a 499-TWD one-day "Enjoy Tainan" tour and a 3,388-TWD "New Year's Trilogy – 2-Day Tour." Additionally, activities such as a one-TWD auction and a million-TWD lucky draw will be held throughout the fair.
The Miaoli County Government has invested millions to showcase Miaoli’s Hakka culture, while Beigang Chaotian Temple has even built a temple within the fair venue, bringing statues of Mazu and her two generals, Qianliyan and Shunfeng’er, to bless the citizens of Tainan. The Nankunshen Daitian Temple, a second-grade historic site, is also making a strong showing by presenting the Taiwanese Kingly Deity faith — an important part of the religious beliefs of the people in Taiwan’s salt-producing regions.
