The work-exchange experience event organized by the New Taipei City Gold Museum has been widely praised, and the latest edition of the “2013 Spring – Seeking Lohas Creative Individuals” campaign is now accepting submissions. This round of selected creative individuals will primarily focus on music or performance categories, and applicants must apply as groups, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 members per group. Selected creative individuals will be stationed in the two connected Japanese-style dormitories within the Gold Museum from January 9, 2013 to March 22, 2013, and are expected to present project proposals that allow public participation.

The New Taipei City Gold Museum stated that since August 2012, it first opened the renovated two connected Japanese-style dormitories under the concept of “work-exchange experience,” inviting distinctive Lohas creative individuals to stay. During the 2012 season, which consisted of three batches and a total of 20 individuals/groups, the Gold Museum arranged for the creative individuals to engage in dialogues with local artists, take part in local festivals, and participate in various types of museum activities, allowing them to closely connect with Jinguashi and further transform their inspiration into creative works. All creative projects were also displayed during specially planned “Open Studio Days” for public viewing in each batch.
Applications for this residency program are now open and will be accepted until 5:00 PM on December 21. Key team members must include creative individuals in music and performance, while other members may include those in visual design, video documentation, or fashion design. Applicants can visit the New Taipei City Gold Museum’s official website to download and complete the application form and residency plan, and must also submit a personal resume and portfolio, either by mail or email to the organizing committee.
