Every New Year’s Eve, fireworks light up the night skies across Taipei, central, and southern Taiwan in a dazzling spectacle. This year, E-DA World’s New Year’s Eve celebration in southern Taiwan will debut an all-new moving fireworks show in Taiwan, leveraging the venue’s unique terrain to deliver a high-speed, encircling display for the first time. Themed “Love You for a Lifetime, Forever and Ever,” the event is expected to feature a spectacular 9-minute, 9-second fireworks show. On the day, performers including Yan Jue, Amber An, Xie JinYan, and Nicky Wu will take the stage, with Sodagreen closing out the countdown and getting the crowd pumped for the New Year.

E-DA World’s annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show is custom-created by renowned domestic and international fireworks teams, and this year’s edition is bigger than ever. The Beijing Olympics fireworks team has been specially invited to Taiwan to exclusively present the moving fireworks display. The encircling fireworks will dance through the event venue like performers, and the show is divided into three movements: “Dancing Flames,” “Legends of the Mountains,” and “Beautiful Tales.” Using the sky as a canvas, a variety of atmospheric fireworks scenes will be created, with displays wrapping around E-DA World and forming diverse shapes such as S-curves, Z-patterns, and fan shapes in sync with the music.

The first movement, “Dancing Flames,” combines high-altitude fireworks with various mid- and low-altitude special effects to showcase graceful dance-like movements. The second movement, “Legends of the Mountains,” uses different colors and effects of fireworks to create dreamlike settings representing the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The third movement, “Beautiful Tales,” debuts a high-altitude dynamic moving fireworks effect, condensing two or more colors and types of fireworks into a single shell, creating an effect similar to Sichuan opera face-changing during the viewing experience.
