The "Hometown Hakka Classics: A World of Emotion" concert, scheduled for 14:30 on January 27 at the Zhongzheng Hall of the Miaoli County Government’s Bureau of International Culture and Tourism, will be produced by the well-known Hometown Chamber Orchestra. The program includes folk songs such as "Peach Blossoms Bloom," "Tea-Picking Song," and "Four Seasons of Red." Free tickets are now available to the public, with applications accepted at the first-floor service counter of the Miaoli County Government’s Bureau of International Culture and Tourism. Each person may request up to two tickets.

This performance of "Hometown Hakka Classics: A World of Emotion" centers around Hakka folk songs and works by the Hakka master Deng Yu-xian, including the nationally unique flute concerto "Peach Blossoms Bloom," as well as string quartets such as "Tea-Picking Song," "Four Seasons of Red," "Moonlit Night Melancholy," "Spring Breeze," "Rainy Night Flowers," and "Spring Night Reverie." Additionally, the program features world-famous pieces such as the "William Tell Overture" and "The Toreador Song," along with many popular Taiwanese and Japanese tunes. The vast majority of the pieces have been composed by the orchestra’s leader, Dr. Lin Chao-hua, who is also a physician and composer. The music is exquisitely refined and highly melodious, not only enjoying enduring popularity at Taipei’s National Concert Hall but also gaining international acclaim.
The Hometown Chamber Orchestra was established in 2001 and was honored as an Outstanding Supported Team by the former Executive Yuan’s Council for Cultural Affairs in 2006. To date, it has performed 176 concerts both domestically and internationally, including 23 at the National Concert Hall, 20 in Japan, and 1 in the United States. The orchestra has performed in nearly every county and city along Taiwan’s west coast.
