Where to go during the holiday season? Head to Hongmao Port Cultural Park for great performances and special offers. From the second to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, Hongmao Port Cultural Park invites four renowned local gezaixi troupes including Ming Hua Yuan to “put on a lively show,” and also launches special promotions during the Lunar New Year period such as “Take the MRT to Nangangshan Station and Get a Ticket Discount Voucher” and “Visit an Exhibition at Pier-2 and Get a 10% Discount Coupon for the Round-Trip Boat from Pier-2 to Hongmao Port,” allowing families to enjoy a festive outing across Greater Kaohsiung.

During the holiday period, Hongmao Port Cultural Park is only closed on New Year’s Eve. Starting from the second day of the Lunar New Year (February 11), a series of fantastic shows are scheduled, including “Happy Foes, Lovely Match” by the Ming Hua Yuan Daily Drama Troupe, “Lantern Festival Revelry” by the Ming Hua Yuan Heavenly Drama Troupe, “The Pawnshop of Desire” by the Shanghe Gezaixi Drama Troupe, and “Liu Rui Lian Protects the Nation” by the Chunmei Opera Troupe. These four top local troupes will take turns staging classic gezaixi operas, with each performance being a highlight that is sure to satisfy audiences’ audiovisual enjoyment.
Besides enjoying the performances, special holiday promotions for Hongmao Port Cultural Park tickets and boat ride tickets are also available. Starting February 1, passengers taking the MRT from Nangangshan Station will receive a ticket discount voucher for Hongmao Port Cultural Park. This voucher can be used to get a NT$50 discount off the regular NT$99 full-price ticket during the Lunar New Year holiday period from February 10 to 17. In addition, starting February 1, visitors who purchase exhibition tickets at Pier-2 Art Center will receive a 10% discount coupon for the round-trip boat between Pier-2 and Hongmao Port. Both promotions are valid not only during the Lunar New Year holiday but also throughout non-holiday park opening hours until March 29.
