During the warm and floral Spring Festival holiday, from March 28 to April 7, the National Museum of Natural Science and the American-Canadian Floral Design Association will jointly present the “Spring Blossoms—Qingming Festival Floral Art Design Exhibition.” Utilizing structural and display-window presentation techniques, the exhibition applies various methods such as binding, perspective, adhesion, weaving, and knotting to showcase a fashionable style and design artistry, while also incorporating playful and child-friendly elements to present a vibrant and colorful world of floral art.

The architectural-style floral design technique used in this exhibition originates from the organic natural architecture pioneered by the renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, which does not conceal the characteristics and features of the materials used but instead respects natural resources and open spaces. When applied to floral art creation, it involves reducing the use of foam and deliberately showcasing the structural or binding materials as part of the design to enhance visual impact, constructing diverse structural styles and aesthetic forms.
In addition, the hallmark of window-display-style floral design is to create stunning effects within a defined space, from flat to three-dimensional, based on a set theme and atmosphere. Each piece showcases the ingenious combination of seasonal flowers and natural materials, making them worthy of close appreciation.
