The much-anticipated four-day holiday for Qingming and Children's Day is about to begin, with various domestic theme parks offering special promotions for children. These include free admission for kids when accompanied by an adult ticket holder, along with other deals. There are also beloved cartoon characters and animal stars to keep the little ones entertained, as well as lavender festivals, evening firefly viewing, skywalks, and high-quality performances with exotic flair — guaranteed to bring laughter and memories for the whole family.

Six operators offer free admission for children when accompanied by an adult ticket holder, including: “Yehliu Ocean World,” where children under 12 can enjoy free entry by presenting their National Health Insurance card (April 4); “Leofoo Village Theme Park” for children under 12 (April 4–7); “Atayal Resort” for children under 6 (April 1–30); “Janfusun Fancyworld” for children under 6 upon presentation of a household registration booklet or NHI card (April 1–30); “Chien-Shan-Pi Jiangnan Resort” for children under 12 by presenting NHI card or household registration (April 4–7); and “Shangri-La Amusement Park” for children under 12 (April 4–7).

In terms of park entry discounts, “Lihpao Land” offers a NT$100 discount on child tickets for those wearing school uniforms (sportswear is also acceptable) or baseball jerseys; additionally, the Fleur de Chine Hotel provides free afternoon tea for both adults and children (April 1–7); “Dongshi Forest Farm”’s Firefly Starlight Ticket is available for NT$160 for entry at 3:00 PM on weekdays (until April 30); “8 Great Forest Park” allows elementary and middle school students, when accompanied by a parent, to enjoy a 50% discount at just NT$175 (April 4–7); “Yankee Ocean Park” offers tickets for Hualien residents at NT$590 (original price NT$890) upon presenting ID, and for Yilan and Taitung residents at NT$790 (original price NT$1090), with an additional NT$200 cash voucher given on-site; “Baxian Coast” has a one-day spring tour for NT$899 and a two-day spring tour for two people at NT$2,999. Purchasing full-price, discounted, or starlight tickets comes with a complimentary afternoon tea.
For themed park promotional activities, “Dongshi Forest Farm” offers a Firefly Eco-Tour every Monday and Thursday in April for just NT$1,500 per person; in conjunction with the Taichung City Tourism Bureau’s Children’s Week, children can purchase discounted tickets for NT$160 (April 2–7); “Yankee Ocean Park” participants in the 2013 Children’s Eco-Education Painting Competition can enter at a discounted rate of NT$390 (original price NT$590). With a project data stub B, dinner at the English Restaurant buffet in the Yen Lai Royal Hotel includes free meals for kindergarten kids and 50% off for elementary school students (ages 6–12); “Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village” partners with the Purple Love Lavender event, offering discounted tickets for NT$580 plus free rides on the Sun Moon Lake One Piece Sky Cable Car; “Cloud Temple Park” allows visitors to like its FB fan page or post a photo with its “Firefly Origami” stuck on the Tree of Life to be entered to win a free accommodation voucher.
