The annual Kenting Spring Scream Music Festival is just around the corner. This biggest annual music event in Kenting, Pingtung, attracts hundreds of thousands of participants every year. This year coincides with the four-day Qingming Festival holiday. The Pingtung County Government and the Kaohsiung District Motor Vehicles Office under the Directorate General of Highways, MOTC, in addition to coordinating with high-speed bus operators on the Kaohsiung–Kenting route to increase service frequency during the holiday period, have also collaborated with Taiwan High Speed Rail, National Freeway, Kaohsiung–Kenting route, and Kenting shuttle bus operators to simultaneously launch transportation combo ticket discounts. Among them, if the public purchases two types of combo tickets—the THSR “Kenting Express” combo ticket and the “Kaohsiung–Kenting Good Go Package”—at any 7-ELEVEN ibon nationwide, they can ride the Kenting shuttle bus unlimited times from April 4 to 7 during the Qingming holiday.

This year, in conjunction with the Spring Scream Music Festival, the existing THSR “Kenting Express” combo ticket includes “round-trip THSR + round-trip Kenting Express + one free 1-day Kenting shuttle bus pass,” offering a 25% discount on THSR tickets and also includes one 1-day Kenting shuttle bus pass (for example, the “Taipei–Zuoying” route is only NT$2,830). The “Kaohsiung–Kenting Good Go Package” includes “Kenting Express + 2-day Kenting shuttle bus pass” (priced at NT$800); and during the Qingming holiday from April 4 to 7, passengers can ride the Kenting shuttle bus unlimited times. With such great deals, everyone across the country is welcome to experience the beauty of the Hengchun Peninsula via public transportation.
The Urban and Rural Development Bureau of Pingtung County Government stated that in the past, traveling from Kaohsiung to Kenting by public transport took approximately three hours. Since the launch of the Kenting Express in May 2010, not only has the route been optimized to use expressways, but the number of stops has also been reduced. The journey from Zuoying to Kenting takes just 120 minutes without traffic congestion, significantly shortening travel time and making it more convenient for tourists to visit Kenting. Additionally, the Kenting Express has a dedicated service counter at Zuoying THSR Station (next to Exit 2), providing services such as ride reservations and travel consultations.
