The Android version of "Taipei Good Ride" has launched a new feature integrating YouBike with sightseeing spots, enabling the public to use YouBike to explore Taipei’s tourist attractions. The iOS and Windows Phone versions are expected to go live by the end of April. "Taipei Good Ride" is the first to combine YouBike with sightseeing information through cross-departmental collaboration between the Department of Transportation and the Department of Information and Tourism. By leveraging the eco-friendly and popular YouBike, it promotes tourism in Taipei and encourages visitors to explore the city in depth.

Taipei’s YouBike system currently has 62 stations and over 2,132 bicycles. Daily usage has repeatedly hit new highs, with weekdays seeing a peak of over 25,000 rides and weekends peaking at more than 27,000 rides. This shows that YouBike has become an essential tool for commuting on weekdays and leisure on weekends. Plans are underway to expand to transit hubs such as MRT and bus stations, as well as other high-traffic areas.
With the new feature combining YouBike and sightseeing spots in "Taipei Good Ride," users can open the YouBike map within the app, select the sightseeing spots layer, and access real-time YouBike availability (bikes for rent and empty parking spaces) around their location. They can also browse nearby famous tourist attractions and check details such as opening hours, addresses, phone numbers, and descriptions.

Ride a YouBike through Taipei’s streets, visit sightseeing spots, and explore alleyway culture. With "Taipei Good Ride," you can plan your own mini adventure. Everyone is invited to follow "Taipei Good Ride" and experience a different side of Taipei. The Taipei Tourism website is available in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. Foreign tourists are welcome to visit the site for more travel information. In the future, "Taipei Good Ride" will offer features such as searching for sightseeing spots and planning YouBike-based travel itineraries, making it easy for the public to hop between attractions on YouBike.
