Tainan is a must-visit travel destination. In addition to its rich collection of historic sites, it also boasts captivating coastal scenery. The Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau has specially organized the “2013 Tainan Unique Traditional Gourmet & Souvenir Product Voting Campaign.” From now until May 14, food lovers are invited to participate in the vote.

Current voting results: In the traditional gourmet category, the top three are danzai noodles, milkfish (porridge/balls/soup), and shrimp rolls, followed by coffin bread, stir-fried eel, oyster omelet, rice cake, mudskippers in soup, pan-fried noodles, and small squid rice noodles. In the souvenir category, the top three are shrimp crackers, pineapple cakes, and peanut candy, followed by i* cakes, sweet potato crisps, milkfish crisps, pudding, traditional pastries (Chinese pastries/meat pastries/red bean paste pastries), preserved fruits, and dried longan. In the drinks and desserts category, the top three are almond tofu, mango shaved ice, and tofu pudding, followed by mung bean soup and plum juice.
To attract more participants, the organizers have prepared numerous lucky draw prizes. Whether you vote via physical ballot or online, you can join the draw. Prizes include 3C products such as HTC smartphones, ASUS tablets, cameras, and Blu-ray players. In addition, well-known hotel partners such as the Grand Formosa Regent Taipei, Taiwan Sugar Chang Yung-Fa Foundation Peace Hotel, Far Eastern Shangri-La Hotel, Tainan Hotel, Kui Tian Hotel, Tai Bang Commercial Travel, Tian Xia Hotel, Cambridge Hotel, and Dynasty Hotel are also participating by offering accommodations. This voting campaign runs from now until May 14. The public can vote at 66 physical locations including Tainan district offices, yìlóu (historical buildings), Confucius Temple, Anping Fort, Yi Zai Jin Cheng, Qigu Salt Mountain, Naughty World, Jiangnan Resort, Tainan Railway Station, Xinying Railway Station, freeway service areas in Renhe, Guanmiao, Dongshan, and Xinying, as well as at various Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau tourist service centers.
