A highlight of the festival’s opening will be a special drone light show featuring 100 drones performing in formation, presenting an extraordinary visual spectacle. This year will also introduce tech water screens as part of the creative performance lineup, showcasing local cultural features through the expertise of professional teams. Additionally, there will be unique performances and interactive segments planned for each show, further enriching the event. The festival will gradually evolve into a distinctive seasonal attraction, forming a romantic seascape destination.
Winter tourism will highlight Penghu’s unique intangible cultural asset — the “masked” tradition — to promote agritourism and fishing village experiences. The plan is to offer in-depth experiences of local cultural characteristics, hoping that visitors in winter will gain an understanding of Penghu’s traditional customs, experience rural life, and enjoy winter culinary tours. The Food Festival and Masked Experience Tour are this year’s fun and engaging winter travel promotions in Penghu, definitely worth trying. The county government also encourages townships and communities to participate in developing distinctive community-based in-depth tourism.
