To preserve Suncheon Bay, one of the five major coastal wetlands and a site listed under the international Ramsar Convention on wetlands of international importance, South Korea hosted the "2013 Suncheon Bay World Garden Expo" in the city of Suncheon, South Jeolla Province, from April 20 to October 20, 2013, for about six months. Since its opening, the expo has attracted over 1.7 million visitors from around the world and invited Taiwanese celebrity spokesman Show Lo to film an MV, perfectly showcasing the garden’s vibrant floral displays.

The Suncheon Bay World Garden Expo site is divided into the main exposition area, featuring world gardens and themed courtyards, and the International Wetland Center, where visitors can explore and experience the wetland environment. Stroll along the Dongcheon Stream that runs through the park, cross the Dream Bridge made from recycled shipping containers, and enjoy the natural beauty of Suncheon Bay across spring, summer, and autumn.
