Recently, EVA Air’s “I SEE YOU” commercial starring Takeo Kaneshiro has caused a sudden surge in popularity for the beautiful scenery of Chihshang in Taitung, also sparking a trend among the public to visit Chihshang to “find the tree.” However, the continuous influx of visitors drawn by the fame has led to issues such as illegal parking and littering, causing significant inconvenience to local residents. To encourage all travelers to cherish the tranquility and beauty of Chihshang, EVA Air has adopted the area under the “Takeo Tree” to serve tea. Tea service is available every Saturday, Sunday, and national holiday, and is extended daily during summer vacation and the Lunar New Year period. In addition to treating passersby, the initiative also hopes visitors will help protect Chihshang’s environment. The Taitung County Government also offers bike rentals for NT$100 and free guided tours on holidays.

To share the behind-the-scenes process of the production team’s shoot with all travelers, EVA Air has specially produced the “I SEE YOU: A Complete Guide to Taitung Chihshang Filming Locations,” allowing visitors to explore the little stories behind each spot. Uni Air has also launched the “I SEE YOU: Search for Paradise” travel package, making it easy for tourists to enjoy Taitung. Meanwhile, the Taitung County Government has partnered with the Chihshang Township Cultural Interpretation Association to promote the “Tea Under the Tree, Cycling Through Chihshang” campaign. From now until November 30, the public can rent a bicycle for a special rate of NT$100 per day, with free guided tours available on weekends and national holidays, offering a deeper understanding of Taitung’s pristine land.
EVA Air is deeply grateful for the assistance provided by Wan’an Village and Jinyuan Village during the filming of the “I SEE YOU” commercial. For this tea-serving initiative under the Takeo Tree, special thanks go to Wan’an Village Chief Wei Jung-tseng and community residents for their generous agreement to help, personally brewing tea under the tree for visitors. In addition to sharing Taiwan’s unique, rich human touch, visitors are reminded to take their trash with them after enjoying tea and shade under the tree, leaving Chihshang clean and beautiful. EVA Air also sincerely hopes that when visiting Chihshang, travelers avoid driving tour buses or cars onto Brolin Boulevard or the Takeo Kaneshiro Boulevard. Everyone is encouraged to ride bicycles like Takeo Kaneshiro, enjoying the serene feeling of cycling through endless rice fields, and to jointly preserve the idyllic beauty of Chihshang.
