The 2013 Taipei Food Expo will be held on September 14–15 at the Flower Expo Yuanshan Competition Hall, featuring over 150 Taipei-based food and beverage businesses. The exhibition area is divided into seven major themed zones: “Chinese Cuisine,” “Night Market Snacks,” “Authentic Flavors,” “Sweet Happiness,” “Thai Flavors,” “International Flavors,” and “Delicious Sauce Play.” On-site, visitors can enjoy food discounts of up to 50% off, as well as special early-bird deals and photo-check-in promotions. The first 100 visitors to enter the expo will receive a Mid-Autumn gift box, and can participate in a lucky draw for 3,000 free food items.

Among the seven themed zones at this Taipei Food Expo, the “Night Market Snacks” section brings together famous night markets in Taipei, including those on Linjiang Street, Shilin, Guangzhou Street, Nangang, Raohe, and Ningxia. Visitors can sample popular night market treats such as oyster omelets, squid thick soup, takoyaki, and salt-and-pepper chicken wings all in one place. The renowned “Thousand-Year Banquet” from Ningxia Night Market is also offering a special limited-table reservation discount at the Taipei Food Expo, with the original price of NT$3,000 reduced to NT$2,500.
As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, visitors can also take advantage of the final golden weekend before the holiday to shop for gifts at the food expo. Many bakeries and confectionery vendors are offering affordable Mid-Autumn gift options, such as soil pineapple cakes from “The 8th Bite” and macaron gift boxes from “Smiling Queen,” all available on-site at 20% off the original price.
In addition, the food expo is offering a triple-bonus promotion this year. The first bonus is the “Early-Bird Deal”: the first 100 visitors on September 14–15 will receive either a Mid-Autumn gift box or a healthy vegetarian breakfast. The second bonus is the “Check-In for Food” promotion: visitors who take photos at the expo and share them on Facebook can enter a draw for a total of 3,000 free food items. The third bonus is the “Spend & Win” promotion: for every NT$100 spent during the event, participants earn one point, and collecting three points enters them into a draw for dining vouchers from top restaurants and hotels, including the Top Fresh 101 Gourmet Scenic Restaurant, with a total value exceeding NT$200,000.
