To celebrate the arrival of Rubber Duck in Kaohsiung, the Kaohsiung City Government’s Tourism Bureau has launched a series of recommended itineraries and special promotional activities. Among them, the bureau has created creative mini Rubber Duck business card-sized cards, which contain surrounding maps and one- and two-day itinerary information, allowing netizens to experience the “Happy Itinerary of Visiting the River, Cruising the Harbor, and Seeing the Rubber Duck.”

The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau has produced creative mini Rubber Duck business card-sized cards to coincide with the exhibition, featuring transportation information and surrounding maps for the exhibition venue—Glory Pier—as well as one-day and two-day itineraries launched in conjunction. The public is invited to visit Kaohsiung to admire the duck and go sightseeing. These practical and portable creative mini Rubber Duck cards can be picked up at the High-Speed Rail Zuoying Station, Kaohsiung Railway Station, Formosa Boulevard MRT Station, and the Love River Tourism Service Center. Everyone is welcome to come to Kaohsiung to “Visit the River, Cruise the Harbor, and See the Rubber Duck” and experience the beauty of Kaohsiung.
In addition, the Tourism Bureau has partnered with local businesses to offer a variety of perks for travelers. The “Eco-Friendly Stay, Green Travel in Kaohsiung” project not only features various accommodation discounts from participating hotels and homestays, but also provides 60 accommodation raffle tickets (valid from September 19 to October 20) for guests staying at these hotels and homestays during the period, giving them a chance to revisit Kaohsiung. The “2013 Sunshine Kaohsiung Study Fun Discount Passport” launched this year (2013) compiles discount information from four major categories of shops: cultural and creative/tourism factories, agricultural and fishery specialties, accommodations, and souvenirs. The discounts are valid for up to 500 days across calendar years. With any transportation ticket stub to Kaohsiung, you can exchange for the passport at the Tourism Service Centers located at Kaohsiung Railway Station, High-Speed Rail Zuoying Station, and Kaohsiung International Airport. Additionally, those who purchase a one-day pass for the Kaohsiung MRT or top up their Easycard with more than NT$200 in a single transaction, or spend over NT$100 at the MRT Gift Shop, can exchange for the discount passport at the MRT Gift Shop located at Formosa Boulevard MRT Station. Holding the passport grants access to great travel, accommodation, and shopping deals, as well as stamp-collecting opportunities to enter lucky draws—with a top prize of NT$20,000.
