Strolling under the romantic and dazzling lights of Xinzhuang Special District, do you feel like sending a postcard to greet a long-lost friend or mailing a gift to loved ones far away? The Banqiao Post Office has partnered with the New Taipei City Government. During the event period from November 22 to January 5, 2014, it will be stationed in the Christmas Cabin at Civic Plaza, providing basic postal services. Business hours are from 14:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, extended to 22:00 on weekends. For this event, three limited-edition commemorative envelopes, three unique date stamps, one Christmas Bear commemorative stamp, and six Christmas-themed postcards have been specially designed to cater to philatelists. During its stay, creative activities such as “THANKS & GIVES,” “Write a Letter to Santa Claus,” and “Future Postcards” will also be held.

The Banqiao Post Office has set up a temporary post office in conjunction with New Taipei Christmas Town for three major events: the “Lighting Ceremony” on November 22, “A Walk with the Kids” on November 30, and “Circus Parade” on December 14. It has designed three patterns of “Post Office Gift Envelopes” and “Post Office Stamps.” Those who wish to collect special postmarks with unique designs should hurry into the city to gather them. The site also sells six types of Christmas Town postcards and Christmas convenience boxes. Additionally, a customization service for personalized stamps is available on-site. Just submit an electronic photo of you with the romantic light displays to the post office, and you can pick up your unique Christmas-themed customized stamps on the spot.

The fourth Thursday of November is Thanksgiving Day, originally a holiday celebrated in countries like the United States and Canada to give thanks for the harvest. The Christmas Post Office has prepared 500 postcards on November 23 and will assist the public in sending them for free, inviting netizens to write messages of gratitude and love to relatives, friends, or partners. On December 7, the Christmas Post Office has also prepared postage for 300 letters to Santa’s Village in Finland—grab your pen and write to Santa now!
