2014’s cartoon stars will meet fans at Yida Amusement World! From January 21 to February 16, cartoon characters will appear as eggs and lanterns, keeping the festive fun going from New Year’s all the way to the Lantern Festival. Among them, the most popular “Adventure Time” lantern area will feature Finn and Jake guiding you through the whimsical Land of Ooo; the “The Amazing World of Gumball” area invites you to follow Gumball and Darwin through schoolyard laughs and daily adventures; in the “Ben 10” zone, team up with Ben to defeat aliens and save the Earth; also check out the “Regular Show” lanterns where Mordecai and Rigby, those two slacker pals, pull off their usual zany stunts. And the “Powerpuff Girls” will join forces to liven up the Lunar New Year with non-stop fun and laughter.

Yida Amusement World has teamed up with Cartoon Network for the first time. In addition to themed lantern areas, it has also created cartoon-themed eggs for visitors to take photos with. Featured characters include Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, Powerpuff Girls, and Chowder... among others. There will also be “Meet the Cartoon Stars” sessions—most popular with kids—held from the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, with three shows per day for fan interactions. Additionally, there will be parade performances, with the Giant Parade and Frozen characters making a return to celebrate the New Year holidays with the public.

Additionally, Yida Amusement World is offering promotional deals. Pre-sale for the New Year’s couple ticket package runs from now until February 15, priced at just NT$790 per person (original price NT$899), and includes two souvenir animal lanterns and two VIP ride passes. For Valentine’s Day, pre-sale for the Ferris wheel package is available from now until February 14 at NT$999, and comes with two souvenir animal lanterns plus a special lover’s meal at the Ferris Wheel Restaurant. On-site promotions from January 31 to February 4 include a free souvenir animal lantern when purchasing a child or preschool ticket (for children between 110–120 cm tall). Also, show your photo taken on the high-speed rail’s cartoon-themed train during the same period at designated stores in Yida Amusement World to get a free souvenir animal lantern.
