For a relaxed spring getaway, look no further than Korea’s Jeju Island, which boasts 26 walking routes across the island. China Airlines is now offering exclusive direct flights from Taoyuan to Jeju, with special promotions starting today,with round-trip tickets for just NT$6,800 per person(excluding tax, economy class, early bird promotional price), along with 12 partner travel agencies offeringflight + hotel packages starting at NT$9,900 per person(including tax, four days and three nights, minimum two people),and group tours starting at NT$10,999 (including tax).There are also travel packages that include participation in events such as the “Seogwipo Canola Flower International Hiking Festival” and the “2014 Jeju International Peace Marathon.”

Jeju is Korea’s largest island, known for its mild year-round climate and nicknamed the “Hawaii of Korea.” It has also gained fame for its “Jeju Olle” walking trails, pioneering the slow travel market. China Airlines is currently the only airline in Taiwan offering direct flights between Taoyuan and Jeju, with four round-trip flights per week and a flight time of about 1 hour and 50 minutes. China Airlines spokesperson Gao Zhihua said: “Olle (올레) is a Jeju dialect term referring to small alleys or lanes that lead from one’s doorstep to the main road.Jeju is currently in full bloom with cherry blossoms and canola flowers this spring, and travelers can explore the island’s mountain and sea beauty in depth through its 26 different walking routes.

For sports enthusiasts and marathon runners, don’t missthe “Seogwipo Canola Flower International Hiking Festival” held on Jeju Island from March 29–30 and the “2014 Jeju International Peace Marathon” on March 30.The flight promotions are only available through the early bird program on China Airlines’ official website, and limited quantities are available for each flight and through each partner travel agency.
