The "2014 Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival" will be held from May 3 to June 30 on Fulong Beach. This year, 30 sand sculptors from 17 countries—namely the United States, Canada, France, Ireland, Australia, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia, the Czech Republic, India, West Africa, Portugal, Bulgaria, Latvia, Singapore, and Taiwan—have been invited to participate in an international competition, and they are currently creating their works on Fulong Beach. Visitors planning to attend the sand sculpture festival are advised to take any TRA train to Fulong Station, which is about a 5-minute walk from the event site. For those driving, the organizers have designated multiple parking areas, such as in front of the Fulong Visitor Center and next to Fulong Elementary School, offering approximately 800 parking spaces. To maintain smooth traffic at the venue, visitors are encouraged to park their vehicles at the Provincial Highway 2B, Yenliao Seaside Park, or Taipower Longmen Construction Site parking lots, and take the free shuttle bus to the festival. The shuttle bus operates on weekends and holidays during the event period, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, approximately every 20 minutes (actual intervals may vary depending on traffic conditions).
Additionally, the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Golden Fulong Line” runs once an hour on weekdays and every half hour on holidays, taking passengers to nine major attractions in the Northeast Corner (Ruifang Railway Station, Jiufen, Gold Museum, Shuishe Cave, Bitou, Dragon Cave Bay Marine Park, Dragon Cave Four Seasons Bay, Aodi, and Fulong).
