Located in Xuejia, southern Taiwan, the red quinoa flower field features matured and color-changing red quinoa that forms a beautiful landscape. Rows of red quinoa reaching toward the sky, interwoven in fiery red, bright yellow, and vivid orange, create a magnificent sea of flowers. In addition to the spectacular red quinoa fields, the hollyhocks nearby are also growing vigorously and will soon be in full bloom.

Listed by foreign media as one of the world’s 15 most beautiful flower streets—and the only one in Asia—“Baili Lin Chupi Cotton Tree Avenue” is currently in full bloom. The stretch of cotton trees is a breathtaking sight, and the surrounding rural scenery offers a relaxing vibe. To coincide with the flowering season, the Baihe District Office has specially launched the “Baihe Cotton Tree Season” series of events, including photography competitions, guided tours, flower-season coloring activities, and flower-season concerts. During the season, the originally simple country roads are decorated festively, and the brilliant red cotton tree blossoms also make for a popular photo spot.

The cherry blossom promenade at Wushantou Reservoir in Tainan is currently in full bloom. A whole row of pink-flowering trees, along with petals scattered on the asphalt road, create a pink carpet that’s incredibly romantic. These cherry blossom trees are actually over 80 years old and were personally planted by Yoichi Hatta—the father of the Chianan Irrigation System—and his wife, giving them significant historical meaning. Today, they form an absolutely stunning view at Wushantou Reservoir. The South Sea sakura swaying in the wind attracts many visitors every year who come to take photos and admire this beautiful scenery.

Recently opened, Tainan City Art Museum Hall 2 features a minimalist design dominated by an all-white, pentagonal style. The hall was jointly created by architect Shi Zhaoyong and the Japanese firm Shigeru Ban Architects, and is a building planned and designed by a Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate. The structure takes inspiration from the flame tree, and its pentagonal shape will establish the Southern Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts as a cultural landmark symbolizing Tainan. The vertically stacked and staggered exhibition spaces, combined with a large fractal-style roof, form the main exterior of Museum 2.
