The Oigawa Railway Company also hopes that through the introduction of this Thomas-themed steam train, the operations of the Oigawa Railway will be further enhanced. During the three-month running period, tickets have been almost sold out, demonstrating how “Thomas the Tank Engine” truly combines the charm of steam trains.
The “Thomas the Tank Engine” steam train mainly runs between Shin-Kanaya and Senoo stations, operating from July 12 to October 12. This themed train previously ran in the UK and is making its first appearance in Asia, specifically in Japan, making it highly newsworthy. During the event period, a Thomas-themed railway bento box was also introduced. Riding the Thomas steam train along with enjoying the matching bento creates a deeply satisfying railway travel experience for both railway fans and “Thomas the Tank Engine” enthusiasts.
