In addition to the exciting events and attractions in eastern Taiwan, there are also a variety of summer experiences across the country. From the Gongliao Ocean Music Festival starting in early July, to the 2014 Tainan Masago Music Festival held in August, music lovers and beachgoers should not miss out. In central Taiwan, Nantou hosts the Nantou Train Festival, where the Little Bear School takes both adults and children into the world of steam trains. Qingjing Farm, surrounded by grasslands and flocks of sheep, also holds its Summer Windmill Festival — a spectacular scene that earns praise from visitors every year.

In addition, famous major attractions across Taiwan remain favorite spots that never get old for travelers. The mountain town charm of Jiufen and its old streets, the sky lanterns of Pingxi and the JingTong Old Street, the Daxi Old Street in Taoyuan — all offer delightful holidays filled with scenic beauty and delicious food. The Mediterranean-style architecture of Nanzao Fishing Port in Hsinchu is also a sight not to be missed.
