The eye-catching and elegantly designed “Crescent Tower” is expected to be completed in 2015. Located in Dubai’s Za'abeel Park, aside from its striking appearance, the 33-story interior will feature restaurants, a multi-purpose café, meeting rooms, a library, an open-air observation deck, and more. Following the sail-shaped Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, this crescent plucked from the heavens will set a new milestone for Dubai’s iconic architecture.

The architectural concept of the Crescent Tower originated from the “ThyssenKrupp Elevator Architecture Award” held in Dubai in 2008. The competition aimed to create a new landmark for Za’abeel Park that represents Dubai’s rise as an international city. Architects from 108 countries, totaling 4,651 participants, submitted 926 design proposals. The winning entry was the “Dubai – Crescent Tower” by the American firm Transparent House.

Besides the star and crescent symbolizing the light of Islamic civilization, the crescent shape also symbolizes Dubai’s transition from scarcity to abundance, shining brightly.

Additionally, the Crescent Tower’s companion project in 2015, the “Full Moon Hotel,” will also be completed. Covering a total area of 220 hectares, it will become a major hub for Dubai’s industrial sector and is sure to become a renowned landmark known to travelers worldwide.
