Planned and promoted by Japan’s Sanseido Co., Ltd., and expanding its successful model under the DiGWORLD concept to foster cross-border tourism exchanges, its first launch destination is Taiwan. In collaboration with Dah Yeh Publishing, it has created “DiGTAIWAN!”—a free APP that promotes the best of Taiwan to travelers—which officially launched on May 26, 2016.

"DiGJAPAN!", which successfully achieved download peaks among travelers from multiple countries, promoted Japan's rapidly growing tourism market in various languages across different nations before the Olympics, successfully sparking interest among international visitors to Japan. "DiGTAIWAN!" has become the app platform for welcoming inbound tourists to Taiwan, directly generating Taiwan tourism topics and drawing international attention abroad.
In recent years, Taiwan has been actively promoting tourism to attract foreign visitors. In 2015, the number of travelers visiting Taiwan from around the world exceeded 10 million. Around 80% of them were from China, Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Taiwan’s safe and relaxing travel environment makes first-time visitors feel at ease, while also encouraging repeat visits to keep growing.
Ko Ru-hui, General Manager of Eastern Travel Service, pointed out that "DiGTAIWAN!" can be tailored for different segments to meet the diverse travel needs of consumers, making it quite convenient.
The free tourism app "DiGTAIWAN!", created jointly by Da-Yu Publishing House and Shobunsha Publications to attract foreign tourists visiting Taiwan, uses the yellow color theme of Taiwan’s mango shaved ice and bananas as its main design element.
It presents Taiwan’s tourism information in five languages (Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and English), prompting downloads before visitors arrive in Taiwan. Tourists from various countries can access key travel information in their native language before, during, and after their trip, and the app can also be used offline.
