“卖捌” means “wholesale” in Japanese. The site was originally a public institution for distributing tobacco and alcohol during the Japanese colonial period, and at one time served as staff housing for the River Bureau. The building holds significant historical value and has now been transformed into a space for music, light meals, culture, and art. Maison de Vente retains its old name even after the transformation, preserving its vintage charm and offering visitors a nostalgic yet fresh feeling as they step inside.

Originally an unpopular old warehouse belonging to the railway bureau, it was transformed into a second-hand bookstore. With newly added warm lighting, it now draws in book enthusiasts. The books here focus on literature, history, and philosophy, along with English children's picture books brought from abroad. Due to its affordable prices, it has become a treasure trove for book lovers. Besides second-hand books, it also serves coffee and light meals.
