This year marks the 26th edition of the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest, where ten world-renowned fireworks teams will gather in Macau. Each year, the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest attracts tens of thousands of spectators who come to witness the breathtaking fireworks lighting up the night sky. This year,the competition will kick off on September 8, Mid-Autumn Festival, with a performance by a team from Taiwan, sending passionate and energetic fireworks dancing across Macau’s night sky, competing with the stars and moon.The Macao International Fireworks Display Contest will take place over the waters near the Macao Tower. In addition to the Macao Tower Plaza, nearby spots such as the West Bay Lakefront, Nam Van Lakefront, Mount Fortress Garden, or Hac Sa Beach are also excellent viewing locations. For those preferring indoor viewing, the 360-degree revolving restaurant at the Macao Tower, Mandarin Oriental Macau, and Grand Hyatt Macau are great choices. Many hotels and restaurants will also pair the celebration with special fireworks-themed dining or accommodation offers, allowing visitors to enjoy both the dazzling fireworks lighting up Macau’s night sky and exquisite local cuisine.

The 26th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest will be held at 9:00 PM and 9:40 PM on September 8, September 13, September 20, September 27, and October 1. The ten participating teams, in order of performance, are from Taiwan, Croatia, China, France, South Korea, Poland, Portugal, Australia, Italy, and Spain.To facilitate Taiwanese tourists visiting Macau to enjoy this world-class fireworks event, the Macao Government Tourism Office has partnered with eleven travel agencies—including Cola Tours, Jiti Travel, Shanfu Travel, Laurel Travel, EasyGo Travel, CanStar Travel, Wing Yip Travel Agency, Lion Travel, Southeast Travel Service, Five Star Travel, and EVA Air Travel—launching a special Macao International Fireworks Display Contest travel package.
