The top recommendation for the Mid-Autumn holiday is the Masago Music Festival,the highly acclaimed Masago Music Festival has been postponed to September 6th, which coincides with the Mid-Autumn break. On that day, performances will be delivered by A-Lin the “Born Diva,” healing singer Show Luo, and renowned music creator Chao Chih-Pi, among others, accompanying everyone through a special Mid-Autumn Festival. The event will feature nearly 30 food stalls, including authentic Tainan delicacies, traditional snacks, and nostalgic treats, allowing music lovers to enjoy live performances, delicious food, and the bright moon — immersing themselves in an urban musical feast and festive Mid-Autumn fun. Additionally, to combine music with creativity, attendees dressed in themed costumes can receive a small souvenir on the day of the festival (while supplies last), so don’t miss out!

To help everyone enjoy the enchanting Mid-Autumn atmosphere,the Tourism Bureau recommends two of the hottest moon-gazing spots: “Moon Reflected in Water” and “Romantic Moonlit Invitation.”These include the scenic Wujie Pond (known as the “Pond for Moon Viewing”), Hulupi Natural Ecological Leisure Park, and Jian Shan Pi Jiangnan Resort, where the mirror-like lake surfaces create perfect reflections, filling the air with refined elegance and helping visitors relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are also romantic spots for couples to enjoy the moonlight, coffee, and hot springs, such as Guanziling Hot Spring Scenic Area, 175 Dongshan Coffee Farm, as well as cultural and artistic spots ideal for strolling with family and friends, like Tainan Metropolitan Park and Tainan National University of the Arts. All are great places for moon-gazing in Tainan. Everyone is welcome to gather in Tainan for moon viewing and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together.

To allow those who haven’t planned their itinerary or don’t have access to a car to enjoy high-end travel services at affordable prices, the Tourism Bureau has partnered with operators awarded the “Travel Quality Gold Award” to launch several “shuttle bus package tours,” starting as low as NT$499 to explore the historic capital’s attractions. In addition, the Tourism Bureau’s “Tainan Michelin Three-Star Journey” series of free guided tours has added 8 extra free guided tour sessions during the holiday period, in addition to the originally scheduled times.
