To showcase the beauty of East Coast tribes and promote the development of tribal tourism, the Eastern Coastal National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Eastern Administration), under the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, has for the first time partnered with the Council of Indigenous Peoples. Together, they have introduced five three-day and two-day Hualien Mountain-and-Sea Tribal Specialty Tour Packages, inviting the public to explore the homeland and experience the cultural aesthetics of indigenous life!

In recent years, through the collaborative efforts of the Eastern Administration and relevant ministries and commissions under the Executive Yuan, in-depth tourism in East Coast tribes has gradually built a solid reputation both domestically and internationally. To attract more travelers interested in immersive exploration, this year (2014), the Eastern Administration, in partnership with the Council of Indigenous Peoples, commissioned Jason Global Integrated Marketing Co., Ltd. and Lion Travel Service to plan tours focusing on tribes within Hualien County. Multiple distinctive tribal tour packages have been launched, including one two-day tour each for Shuilian, Jingpu, and Qimei Tribes. Visitors wishing to explore two tribes at once can also join the Jingpu-Shuilian Three-Day Tour!
