Samsonite Group’s premium luxury brand—Hartmann has officially announced its entry into Taiwan, officially launching on September 11. With 137 years of expertise in leather goods and suitcases, as well as global advantages, it is making a bold move into Taiwan’s top-tier luggage consumer market. At yesterday’s press conference, fashion celebrities Eddie Peng and Bai Xuehui were specially invited to transform into the glamorous and noble Gatsby and Daisy from *The Great Gatsby*, carrying a classic suitcase with nearly 60 years of history, showcasing the height of American prosperity in the last century. As time passed and the scene changed, Bai Xuehui and Eddie Peng transformed into 21st-century gentlemen and elegant ladies—the style evolved, but the Hartmann suitcase remained, demonstrating the brand’s timeless elegance across centuries.

The press conference featured antique luggage specially flown in from abroad, including a century-old antique wardrobe trunk and an oak briefcase gifted by President Roosevelt to Prime Minister Churchill. Compared with Hartmann’s new 2014 collection, what remains unchanged is the brand’s consistent dedication to detail, exquisite leather craftsmanship, and handmade quality. It’s no wonder that besides President Roosevelt presenting Hartmann as a representative of American craftsmanship as a state gift, former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Lyndon B. Johnson, baseball legend Babe Ruth, Hollywood star Jimmy Stewart, and Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond novels, among other elite figures, have all been loyal users of Hartmann.General Manager Lin Fuping stated: The fact that so many presidents and elite figures favor Hartmann shows that the brand not only boasts exceptional craftsmanship that stands the test of time, but also captures cross-era aesthetics in its design, winning over top-tier market consumers.
